The barn house philosophy has intrigued us since the late 70's when the one featured on the cover of Sunset magazine was a mile from our veterinary clinic in Wilsonville, OR. Our children are both MSU graduates and Jenny, like so many others, wanted to become part of the Bozeman community. As she looked for horse property, she discovered Blue Ridge Homes. Her needs combined with our desire to have a great place to base visits to the local trout streams led to the purchase of a small acreage. A barn house allowed efficient use of the space - a perfect fit with the land and the surrounding farms. Having the Blue Ridge office as a model and Richard's experience with the gambrel roof angles was great. Local businesses and individuals were available to guide Jenny through the decisions and the details. We all worked together to develop the kitchen lighting and placement fo the special laser cut tiles from the Montana Art division of Perry Industries. Having Jenny visit the project and keep us updated was essential. The end result complete with the Blue Ridge circle sawn floors is a very special place to visit and live.
