We had the advantage when we started the building process of living in my parents' barn home right next door to where we were building. With that, we were able to see what we liked as well as what we wanted to improve upon. Looking at the standard floor plans, didn't meet what we had in mind, so my Mother and I went about designing the floor plan with Richard's guidance. It was a fun process, but even more exciting to see the home take shape.

We loved seeing the daily process of the build...some of it went a lot faster than we anticipated, and some of it went slower yet overall we were very pleased with the design, quality, and care that went into building our home.

The contractors that were used by Blue Ridge were always polite adn professional as well as excited about seeing the process on our home. We tried not to interfere with their work, yet they seemed to enjoy taking the time to see us excited about our home construction. The quality and pride that these individuals took in their craft was truly appreciated.

For a first time home-buyer and builder, we were very pleased with our home. Yes, we were the ones who designed the plan as well as the colors and cabinetry, but it has turned out much better than we have ever anticipated. Sometimes we still feel as if we are in a cabin rental in the middle of paradise. What a great place to live!

Richard and the Blue Ridge team, thank you for all you have done to help us make our home a possiblity. Thank you for the support you have provided to take care of all of our "after mov-in" details as well. We are so grateful to be in our home and feel lucky to have had the opportunity to build for such a low cost and high quality.
